So, bad news out on the West End again. A prominent lumber mill, Allen Logging Co., is closing it's doors due to increased competition from foreign businesses. Many people will lose family wage jobs. A family wage job is a job that enables you to raise a family comfortably. I would say at least $16 an hour in this area. This will make a big impact in the economy there also.
