Hello job seekers. If you find any links that don't send you where they should, then let me know. Here is the link to this week's North Coast Hot Jobs, https://www.scribd.com/document/398338334/North-Coast-Hot-Jobs-Jan-28

We have two job openings in our vocational rehabilitation program. Click here to apply. One is for a tribal vocational rehabilitation counselor. This person will be helping Native Americans and Alaskan Natives with barriers to employment find work.

The other is a position in the "Becoming Employed Starts Today" program. This person that fills this position will be working with all mentally ill clients. Some may have a dual diagnosis of substance use disorder. There will be more job coaching and employer contact with this position. If you have a supported employment background, this would be ideal. More info at this link, https://www.dshs.wa.gov/ffa/rda/research-reports/becoming-employed-starts-today-best

If you know of any Alaskan Native or Native American that has documented physical or mental disabilities (such as diabetes, anxiety, substance use disorder, etc.) and is having a hard time looking for work, ask them to contact me at 360-460-7549. We have two counselors that could help you find work.

So the federal government still has not passed a budget. A lot of finger-pointing, but nothing really getting done. As a result, funding for various federal agencies has been halted. Some federal employees are working without wages. Federal funding in this area can or could affect the Olympic National Park and Forest, Tribal Nations, The Coast Guard and grant recipients. Here's some more info here, https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/02/us/whats-affected-government-shutdown.html
