So, Nippon Mill is being shut down for 18 months to be refurbished by McKinley Paper Co. There has been a mill on that site for almost 100 years. Hopefully for those that have been working there, they will have a job there when this refurbished mill is restarted. Some that have been working there are going back to school. More info on this at this link, click here.
When you go back to school, you should give it considerable thought. You shouldn't just get training in a field and expect a job to be open where you want to work in your new career field. One thing to do is take an Interest Inventory Test. This type of test will evaluate your ability to do certain tasks and your desire to do them. This will help you go to school for what you want to do and what you are capable of doing. Another thing to do is check out O-Net at this link, click here. This website will help you determine if there is a demand for your new career in the area you want to live.
