So the new Saar's Super Saver store will be opening in Port Angeles on May 2nd. It will be nice to have another option for grocery shopping in this town. However, I am concerned how this will affect work hours for employees at the other grocery stores in the area. Here is more info on the grand openings, http://www.saarsmarketplacefoods.com/WeeklyAd/Store/50630/

Governor Inslee has recently declared some areas of Washington state as Opportunity Zones. These "Opportunity Zones" have to be experiencing high poverty levels and low family income in the area. Supposedly this designation is supposed to encourage investment into the area by businesses. Most of Clallam and Jefferson counties are affected, including nearly all tribal areas. Here is info on this, https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/WADOC/bulletins/1eaeb2b. Maps showing these areas are here, http://www.commerce.wa.gov/growing-the-economy/opportunity-zones/
